Deviation Actions
After watching Avengers: Age of Ultron last night, I've been re-thinking a lot about Sigyn and how she would be portrayed in the Marvel Universe. Naturally, I looked up some Sigyn deviations, and I've decided something.
Sigyn doesn't love Loki.
Now, I know she's his wife, and very dutiful. She was even made Goddess of Fidelity for choosing to stay with him after he tricked her into marrying him. But that's just it. He tricked her into marrying her. She thought she was marrying someone else. You don't have to love someone to be a dutiful and loyal wife, you just have to have a strong will. Especially with a guy like Loki.
This got me thinking about Sigyn's motivations. She was surprised after her wedding to find that her intended husband was dead and that Loki had taken his place. But instead of joining in Odin's righteous anger, she stated that she would honor the vows she had made and continue to be his wife. Why would she do that? I would be furious. So angry, perhaps, that I would want to make sure Loki suffered for a long, long time. Ah. Perhaps, instead of the besotted, tender figure that most people seem to make her, Sigyn is a sadist fueled by a cold hatred. Loki goes through a lot of suffering, and his plans go awry. She would get to keep her position as a most dutiful and loyal wife and still see his pain firsthand.
This kind of Sigyn is a lot more interesting and unpredictable.

To Me For Me
You're a frikken gem. Your writing is pretty good, and I like the clever bits. Actually, your sense of humor is spot on for me; I laugh at all the right places. Actual out-loud laughing, not just that puff of air out of the nose. You know the one. So just don't give up. Maybe others don't appreciate it, or notice all of the well-thought-out details, or the foreshadowing, or tie-ins, but I DO. I do. *forehead smooch*
So, like, I never post anything, but
guys, I've been so uninspired and life has been crazy and just. I'm really bad at keeping up with things?
I liiiiive
I live, and I'm actually working on some new stuff. *GASP* Let's hope my creative streak lasts long enough for me to post it.
The Mikado
I tried to find some nice fan-art of Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Mikado" but all I came up with were pictures of some Durarara character (I think) and pocky.
I know that The Mikado is old, and that the biggest production it had was a 1987 movie, but it is great! If you like spoof movies and puns you have to watch it!
I was in a community production of it back in high school, and it was so much fun. How can a story that takes place in a town called Titipu, with characters named things like Yum-Yum, Nanki-Poo, Poo-bah, etc., not be amazing?
I know that I haven't been posting any new material. But if you love me, you will all look up The Mika
